The audiobook version of my "Ghosts of Sleepy Hollow" book is performing well on Amazon! It's No. 46 on the Spiritualism charts. When Washington Irving wrote the short story, he likely intended it for a Christmas Eve read. Yep, that's what the line "scary ghost stories and tales of the glories of Christmases long, long ago," from "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" was talking about. https://www.amazon.com/Ghosts-Sleepy-Hollow-Headless-Horseman/dp/B0G6KPRX19 It's supposedly one of the most haunted locations in New Orleans. However, the LaLaurie Mansion was all dressed up for the holidays. Don't lose your head over the latest news, but the audiobook for my "Ghosts of Sleepy Hollow: Haunts of the Headless Horseman" book is now available. The narrator, Henry Schrader, is spookatacular. https://www.amazon.com/Ghosts-Sleepy-Hollow-Headless-Horseman/dp/B0G6KPRX19 Had an amazing night taking an impromptu tour of New Orleans with Jennifer and Christopher Talley. Can't wait for the New Orleans ParaCon after getting the insider's take on this extremely haunted city. It's strange, a lot of the places my friend Chris and I visited earlier today were on our walk tonight. For me, the most active location tonight was the Andrew Jackson Hotel. I will be going back there for sure. I'm exhausted, but plan to do some more exploration tomorrow before flying back to Boston. Spent all day touring New Orleans with my friend Chris. I was letting the ghosts guide me and I ended up visiting Bloody Mary's Haunted Museum & Voodoo Shop and I was very overwhelmed. It felt like I was being stabbed all over my body and I had to leave. The plan was to write a story for Haunted Travels Anthology based on this visit and I narrowed it down to one place we're visiting tonight. Beautiful city. Happy to announce that Andrew Warburton and I will be heading to the Lord Baltimore Hotel in Baltimore, MD for the Team Weird Takeover on June 27-28, 2026. Thank you to Frosty Shepherd and Medium Jenny Lea from The Witching Hours-Podcast for the invite! So excited. It has taken several visits to the Oak Grove Cemetery in Fall River, but Andrew Warburton and i were finally able to locate the grave marker for the reinterred remains of Sarah Maria Cornell, the mill girl and distant relative who was likely assaulted by the Rev. Ephraim Avery and left to die tied to a pole. A murder of crows literally guided us to the spot and the cemetery was encased with snow. We also finally located the grave for Eliza Darling Borden and her children, Holder and Eliza Anne. Her older daughter, Maria, survived the tragedy at what is now Miss Lizzie's Coffee and was also buried with her. If you've seen "The Curse of Lizzie Borden," you know how important that these women and children are to me. It was an emotional day, but I want to thank Andy for his help locating them even under several inches of snow. I'm almost completely booked for 2026 and making an event announcement next week. Hint: It's going to be at extremely haunted hotel. Any guesses? I'm jumping for joy because my friend and fellow author, Leanna Renee Hieber, co-author of "A Haunted History of Invisible Women" and "America's Most Gothic," has agreed to write the foreword to my upcoming book. She's brilliant and I'm so excited about this news. Guess who will be at the Hanover Tavern ParaCon 2026? I'm returning for the third year to one of my favorite events of the year and happy they're expanding it to a two-day gathering on Jan. 30th & 31st in Hanover, Virginia. I'm happy to announce that I will be at the Obscura Paracon in DeKalb, Illinois on March 21st & 22nd. This looks like it's going to be an amazing event. https://obscuraparacon.com/ I'm safe. The fire near my apartment has been extinguished and there was no damage except for a TV mysteriously catching on fire. Much like the last fire that completely destroyed my apartment last March, I was feverishly working on deadline for my upcoming book. Oddly, I was writing about the origin story of a potential family curse. This is toward the end of my book, but I discuss familial ties to Marilyn Monroe and the weird thing is I did hear what sounded like a bloodcurdling scream outside of my apartment (it happened several times generally in the evening) for the past month.
