Filmed a segment in Salem today for a documentary scheduled for release in 2028. I'm very sad about this news, but I will not be able to attend the Smoky Mountain Terror this weekend in Kingsport, TN. I recently had a flare-up with my RA and my friend who was traveling with me was hospitalized. Good news? The organizers were kind enough to move our table to 2027. This lineup to this event is amazing and I can't wait to go. I was really looking forward to this, but because of my crazy work schedule, I'm not able to attend the Smoky Mountain Terror event next weekend in Tennessee. Good news is I will be at Dragon Con in Atlanta on Labor Day weekend. Without giving too much away, I was recently up for a fairly high-profile position that I ultimately didn’t get. It wasn’t a question of my qualifications, but rather my availability—especially with all of the events and commitments I have coming up. While I’m certainly disappointed, I truly believe things happen for a reason. In the end, I feel like this opened the door to other possibilities, and I’m excited to see where they lead. With my book "Lizzie Borden & the Family Curse" coming out October 13, I’m planning to weigh in on Ryan Murphy’s "Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story" during my spooky-season presentations. I'm excited to announce that I will be a guest at the Symposium of Spirits at the Glen Tavern Inn on Jan. 22-24, 2027. Santa Paula, CA. I'm working on a presentation tentatively called "Channeling Marilyn Monroe" which will include a two-day experience at this lovely inn in California. https://www.thesymposiumofspirits.com/ Here's the first of many lectures coming up this fall for "Lizzie Borden & the Family Curse." Join me at 6:30 pm on Thursday, Oct. 8, 2026 at the Hollis Social Library, Hollis, NH. Pre-order the book here: https://www.amazon.com/Lizzie-Borden-Family-Curse-Crime/dp/1467172146 There are two sightings of my book, "Ghosts of the American Revolution," in Virginia. Thank you Kim Sage and Steve Dills for the pics. This makes me so happy. Look at this Halloween BOOtique at Wilson Castle in Proctor, VT. It's sooo spooktacular.. Speaking of spooky season, there are only a few tickets left for the Haunted Travels Halloween Ball on October 30th. There's something about Wilson Castle in October that gets me into the Halloween spirit. Join us ... if you dare. https://massparacon.square.site/ Andrew Warburton and I will be at the NEIBA (New England Independent Bookseller Association) conference on Wednesday, Sept. 16th from 11 am until noon signing copies of our books. It's a huge honor and we both love our independent book store friends. Here's the dream team from the New Orleans ParaCon at the Andrew Jackson. We had an excellent investigation and can't wait to go back to New Orleans ParaCon 2027! It's a week after the New Orleans Paracon and I'm still buzzing with excitement from the event. Not only did I sell out of books and had a great turnout to my classes, but several attendees from the amazing Patti Negri experience have joined Spirit Squad. For me, that's a huge testament of the hard work and vision of Christopher Talley and Jennifer Talley. You did an amazing job and I can't wait until next year! 2027 will be even better.
