Haunted Travels Anthology

While we have some amazing stories submitted so far, the editorial board for the second edition of “Haunted Travels Anthology” just met and we are extending the deadline to Friday, March 13, 2026.

For Volume 2, we are focusing specifically on “haunted places,” so our editorial board is looking for stories about single locations with a haunted history. Word count should be between 1,000 to 1,500 words and please include three photos. Deadline for the articles has been extended to Friday, March 13th. Our target publish date is early May 2026. Below is the tentative cover. Here’s the link for more information:

What started out as a passion project conceived by a group of aspiring paranormal-themed writers has turned into Haunted Travels Anthology. Sam Baltrusis and his spooktacular team have assembled tales from established authors like Joni Mayhan, Mark Muncy and Amelia Cotter coupled with curated stories from up-and-coming writers nationwide. From Stephen King’s haunts in Maine to a creepy honeymoon tour of Alcatraz in California, take a ghostly road trip to some of your favorite haunted destinations throughout the country and abroad. Fasten your seat belts, it’s going to be a bumpy night.

The anthology launched on Friday, June 13 here: https://www.amazon.com/Haunted-Travels-Anthology-Sam-Baltrusis/dp/B0F9LN2JFR

Favorite room with a boo? Enjoy the journey as much as you fancy the haunted destination? Have you visited a location that was surprisingly teeming with ghostly activity?

Happy to announce a new anthology curated by author Sam Baltrusis and his team of up-and-coming wordsmiths from his Ghost Writers group. The title: Haunted Travels.

We’re looking for non-fiction submissions only focusing on a haunted destination, specifically a standalone location or a town with several paranormally active hot spots. Word count should be between 1,000 and 1,500 words and include at least three photographs. Each selected author will receive one copy of the Haunted Travels anthology and discounted copies sold at wholesale price. Submission deadline has changed to January 17, 2025 with an anticipated launch in June/July 2025. Email submissions to info@cambridgehaunts.com. Follow our FB page here.

We strongly encourage submissions from authors who have already published and diversity in locations (the goal is to have coverage at locations across the U.S. and abroad). Articles should be written in Chicago Manual style and first-person travel guides are encouraged. Boo voyage!
